Quill stitching / Friday night with friends.

Yesterday I started on this little cross stitch

Last night I joined the lovely Cheryll and friends for Friday night with friends, I did the back stitch on the quill it doesn't look much but it's quite time consuming or at least it is when I am doing it.... Just got the ink pot to do, it's going to be a notebook cover.
Thanks Cheryll for hosting a great night.
I'm off to see what the others were doing, why not pop over and take a look.
Bye for now
Shirley x

Hello Shirley,

I always find cross stitch time consuming too, your stitching is lovely and will make a fabulous book cover.

Hi Shirley, It's looking good already. Yes back stitching is slow but well worth the time spent on it. x

The backstitch really makes the feather come to life. A lovely design for a notebook cover.Yes, cross stitch does take a really long time. I try not to count the hours and just enjoy how relaxing it can be.

I can't believe it is the same feather, the original colour stitching is barely noticeable in the final piece. Did you have any doubts about it when you started?

I believe you when you say the stitching is time consuming. I have
done alot for the night. Nice work.
Cheers, Anita.
