Tissue case
As I said yesterday last night was my first FNSI, which is run over at, Handmade by Heidi I enjoyed knowing there were other people out there sewing along.
So wanna know what I got up to? Of course you do why else would you be reading. I made something simple a tissue case, you know how it is you see a tutorial and think oh that's cute, useful on and so I must make that and somehow you don't get round to it, but last night I did. there are lots of tutorials out there, but I used this one from A spoonful of sugar, plus I added some wording.
I do have a question to do with pictures, do you store yours on line and if you do who do you use? I do have a Flickr, which I opened a few months ago added about two pictures and haven't been back.
Bye for now

Re pictures, I take loads and loads, I store them a month at a time in my home directory and them burn them onto a DVD, so they are all safe. I wouldn't in prinicpal use an off-site host, for fear of losing them.
Love your tissue bag by the way xx
Oh cute!!
Darling tissue case! The "bless you" addition is perfect!
I have used PhotoBucket in the past but they keep "upgrading" and the newest edition of the photo editor is a pain. I store photos on my computer and upload to Blogger from there... after editing in PIXLR, a free download-able photo editor.
Lovely tissue holder. Great fabric. I have used Flickr for a few years now. They gave me a taste of the pro version for 3 months and have decided I will pay the $44 to go pro for 2 years. It is convenient and easy to use. I upload through the computer into iPhoto first so I have my photos on my own hard drive as well. Every now and then when I get worried about losing them I burn all the albums to DVD.
It is always nice to have a hard copy of some photos. I have some photo books that I made online and had printed up. It is also possible to have your blog posts made into a book.
So cute, you will always be able to find your tissues now.
love the tissue case Shirley.... perfect with 'bless you' written on it...
I have my pictures in an ordinary 'pictures' file on my hard drive and use Picasa to edit..... it automatically saves any pictures online that are blogged

Very cute. Love the bright colours. Hugs,xx
Your tissue cases are very sweet and I love the the addition of the writing.
This is so lovely! I really like the fabric you chose for your tissue cover. Great job and well done.
Cute tissue holder
I collect all the great tutorials thinking I'll make some one day?
Enjoy Sunday.
Love your tissue box cover. Especially with the added words. I don't use a host site for my photos but just have them on the computer which I then either print at BigW from a usb or backup onto an external hard drive. You have a wonderful blog and thank you for visiting mine too.
What a very pretty holder Shirley, keeps the packaging from getting tatty. The 'bless you' is a clever touch!

Sweet tissue cover!
That is a lovely tissue case and a good idea to add the words.
I'm so excited never had 14 comments before, thanks guys, and feed back about pics xx
lovely, great idea to add the "bless you"!
I use photobucket, but only because after a few years blogging you run out of space on the Picassa album Blogger gives you for free. I have a Flickr account but barely use it, I'm not keen on Flickr.
The fabric you used is so pretty. What a great idea to add some stitching...love it!
Thanks for your comments on my blog. I love the bright colours & the tissue holder Idea. I'm always looking for convenient was to carry tissues without them getting scrunched. I may add it to my christmas stocking list this year. :)
THat's a lovely little project, Shirley. It's great to follow your regular little makes! I was wondering about the pics, too. So far I have the photos on the computer and I back them up on an external drive, but I do wonder if there is a disadvantage to that in the long run, especially relating to the blog.
Before I post any photos I edit them if needed and reduce their size, so it doesn't take too much to load a page (We're not all having great internet speeds) but maybe I'm just being over-cautious...
Love the tissue cover, you are so good at matching up the lovely fabrics and the stitching really finishes it off. Well done xxx
