I'm a winner!

I'm so excited, I have just popped onto my colours of a butterfly email only to find that I have won a competition, I can't remember the last time I won anything it has really made my day, just what I needed tonight I am back at the hospital tomorrow and this has put a smile on my face, no mean feat let me tell you.

So wanna know where from and what?

The competition was on Simply Homemade magazine website and I have won 3, 1/2 meters of oil cloth from Dotty Brown
Apple Seasfoam
Beach Hut
Spotty Chocolate

To be honest I have not sewn with oilcloth before but I am sure that is going to change very soon.

Oh how nice! Your goodies sound lovely! Just read your post about the Tilda purse, and although I have a few of her books I wasn't aware of the magazine .

Thanks for your kind comments! I am happy I have brought back pleasant memories. The color used for the eggs is just normal dye for eggs which is sold here in Germany in small packs and and are basically colored papers you put in a cup if water. I have used food coloring in the past though.

I really liked the magazine. I might just make some this Easter even though we haven't got any little ones in the house, but that shouldn't stop me lol

Thanks Wendy, yesterday I was in Birmingham Rag market, picked up 10 zips for a £1 might just use one of them, that will be a challenge it will be my first, plus wouldn't mind a door stop depends on how much fabric I need.

How wonderful! I have never seen oil cloth either but one day would like to sew a passport cover so I can find mine in my bag full of other stuff needed on a plane!

Oh yes a passport cover would be a good idea.
