Good morning, I've woken up to the white world of snow, it is snowing while I type, if you are going out be careful.
This last week or so I have been flitting around the blogging world and I am seeing there are things going on, lovely things to join, so I thought I would do a little post about them.
Ist Fancy joining a swap? Joy over at Welcome to Daisy Row is hosting a Springtime and Easter swap. you can join now and the closing date is 31st January 2013, Joy will match you up with a swap partner and notify you on the 1st February 2013, this gives you time to work out what they like , and then you fill your tub with lots of Spring/Easter Themed goodies, it sounds like a lot of fun and I do hope you join in. I would also like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Joy for doing a little piece about sharing the 'bloggy love' and put a link to me.
Next, Kristy from Quiet Play is hoisting And sew on... A Paper Pieced BOM. This is where I would of loved to put the button for it but guess what? I can't figure out how, sigh, never mind these are things I will learn.
I am not going to pretend I know what paper piecing is but if you are thinking of joining I figure you will know. There will be a free block of the month for 9 months starting 1st January find the first one Here October 2013 you put them all together and November is show and tell, there is even a Quiet Play Flicker group to join should you wish an on the top of all that, there are even prizes.

Last but by no means least, is using craft to make a change in the world, it's something more serious but still fun to do, this I found at Craft UK Blog
The video will tell you about it.
It is the #imapiece Craftivist Jigsaw Project part of the Save the Children Race against hunger Act now compain. Basically you cut our a piece of fabric in a jigsaw shape, stitch your message decorate it if you wish, they even give you ideas of what slogan you can put on it Here and send it off.
All you need to know is on the http://imapiece.craftivist-collective.com/ There is a download for it or you can buy a kit with everything you need in it including the fabric at folksy.com for £3
You have until the end of February 2013 to do this and they are going to have the pieces sewn all together and use them to bring attention to the G8 and the planned World Hunger Summit of 2013. Something you want to get involved in? then what are you waiting for.

Thanks for the plug, Shirley, and for all the other links too. I have your email address, I'll copy and paste an email I sent to another blogger earlier today about posting buttons (thingies).
Joy xx
You're more than welcome Joy and with your help, I have the link on the lefthand side but I still can't get in in the post itself, but hey I can more than I could do this morning

Thank you for stopping by! I wish i had the time to join some of those creative activities...maybe I'll find some.
Hi Sew and the city, it's good to see you. I hope you manage to join one of the activities.
Hi, just found you via Joy's blog! I've joined in the Springtime swap already, and can't wait to see who my 'swappee' is! The 'paper piecing' sounds fun, but like Sewandthecity said, I wish I had time to join in with it! It also sounds very complex to my little chicken brain!!! Good luck :)
Hi Busy Little Chicken its great to see you and thank you so much for posting. I haven't joined the things, the time isn't right for me to commit at the mo, but I thought they looked like great fun hence the post. Have fun with the Springtime Easter swap, I'm looking forward to seeing what you all get up to on them.
